The Brigadier Galloway Council Welcomes the Deputy District Grand Prefect

On Friday 11th April members of The Brigadier Galloway Council No. 126 assembled in the Hong Kong Temple on the 3rd floor of Mark Masons' Hall to conduct their April meeting. After the Council was opened V.W. Bro. Scott Cargill, Deputy District Grand Prefect accompanied by a delegation of District Grand Officers were welcomed into the meeting.

What followed was extraordinary. The Council were conducting the ceremony of The Holy Order of Grand High Priest. They had 2 of their own members present to take the degree plus another 10 candidates visiting from other Councils, 12 in total. The Worshipful Master W. Bro. Pierre Salem was totally unphased by the numbers and gave a flawless delivery of the degree to those lucky candidates, members and visitors present to witness such a great ceremony.

Meeting closed we retired to the bar from some pre-dinner drinks before partaking in a splendid festive board full of chatter and laughter. Food eaten, wine drunk, toasts made, fire executed before finally the Worshipful Master toasted to the next merry meeting.

Spring Social - Museum of London

In glorious sunshine, over 20 members, partners and friends gathered at the Museum of London Docklands for a private guided tour. The 2-hour tour kept everyone captivated and interested, as the museum provides a fascinating history of the docks started from the end of the 18th century through to the present day.
Afterwards it was a short walk to the restaurant for a light lunch which concluded with a few words from Colin Woodcock, District Grand Prefect, that included a vote of thanks to Steve Roberts for doing all the organising, before we all headed home before the rush hour.
